How a Workers’ Government Would Respond to the Climate Crisis

Capitalism is overseeing a climate catastrophe. Wildfires, heatwaves, and droughts ravage the planet while millions of people face displacement and death. Young people all over the world have taken up the fight for the planet’s future and are reaching radical conclusions as they are confronted with the dead end of the capitalist system. Communists have a responsibility to connect with this layer of radicalized youth and offer real solutions to the problem of climate change.

Can there be a green capitalism? How do we solve the climate crisis? And why are communists optimistic in the face of this existential threat?

This discussion will be introduced by Simon Jarcho, a leading member of the RCA in Minneapolis.
