On the first day of the University of Minnesota encampment, revolutionary communists in the Twin Cities mobilized two dozen comrades and set up our red canopy and table in the middle of the camp. People came to our table excited to see other communists in the movement. Throughout the week, we circulated through the crowd, passed out communist leaflets, sold The Communist, and discussed the need for revolution and our program for escalating the movement. We also helped defend the encampment from the police.

The encampment ended when activist leaders struck a sellout deal with the administration—without achieving any of their demands. Plenty of students were outraged by this, and we responded by circulating a statement and leaflet which gained some traction on social media.
