I wasn’t expecting to meet any communists when I started college. I was pleasantly surprised to discover my roomate Alex is one!
We had a three-hour discussion on Marxism vs. identity politics, reactionary anti-immigrant movements in Canada (Alex is from Toronto), and the importance of building a Bolshevik party. They asked a lot of great questions, sussing out the seriousness of our party.
Alex was very impressed that I’d joined the party while in high school, and was over the moon to learn of our Canadian section. They have some “solidly communist friends” who would be overjoyed to discuss with an organized communist teenager.
I urged Alex, and will urge their friends when I call them, that anyone our age fed up with capitalism should get organized with the Revolutionary Communist International.
